03.00am: the adventure starts in a 4x4 Jeep, heading to the world famous viewpoint, Mt Pananjakan (2770 m) overlooking Tengger Caldera region. Here, we will witness the beautiful sunrise and a panorama view of the five mountains visible within the Tengger crater and also, the active volcano, Mt Semeru (3676 m). Which happens to be the biggest volcano in Java.
06.00am: head back to the Jeep and will be driving down, to cross the sea of sand where we will park. From there, we will begin our journey to Mt Bromo. You can either walk (roughly 2km) or hire a horse (fees applicable). Reaching the summit of Mount Bromo will take about 30 - 45 Minutes hike from the Jeep Parking. This includes arriving in Luhur poten temple. Excellent views of the Bromo Tengger NAtional Park. Mount Bromo is one of the easiest to hike, due to the fact that the trail begins at an elevation of ~2300.
At 8.30am, we will make our way back to the hotel. After washing up, pack your bags and check out as we will be continuing our drive to Sempol Village.
